"The First Codex" is a boxset containing the first three books in the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series: The Alchemyst, The Magician, and The Sorceress. The first half of the planned six book series starts off in modern day San Fransisco, CA. Teen twins, Josh and Sophie Newman, are thrust into a world of legend and mythology as they team up with the Immortal Humani Nicholas and Perenelle Flamel. Believing that Josh and Sophie are the fabled Twins of Legend, Nicholas takes them on a globe hoping adventure to places such as Paris, France and London, England. In an attempt to awaken their dormant powers and save the world from the evil Dark Elders.

The release date of September 28th is interesting, as that is the birthday of the story's title character, Nicholas Flamel. As well as the books author Michael Scott!
